Description:
24 Gauge Powder Coated Metal Recessed Dryer Vent Box. The inexpensive DBX1017FR metal dryer vent box is powder-coated white to match the washer box. It is 10” WIDE BY 17″ TALL and designed to fit into a 2 x 6 framed wall. Designed and tested to meet 1-hour equal F&T fire rating requirement for through penetration fire rated system. *Please see installation instructions on how to meet 1 Hour requirement
The DBX1017FR dryer vent wall box also has the Length identification label inside it to meet the 2015 IMC building code requirement. IMC 504.8.5.

SECTION 504.2 EXHAUST PENETRATIONS
Where a clothes dryer exhaust duct penetrates a wall or ceiling membrane, the annular space shall be sealed with noncombustible material, approved fire caulking or a noncombustible dryer exhaust duct wall receptacle.

“LENGTH IDENTIFICATION”
This section requires the installer to provide a tag or label within 6′ of the dryer exhaust stating how many elbows and length of the dryer exhaust until it exits the residence.
